Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2025
Services
Dynamic Arts Makerspace provides custom fabrication services, makerspace memberships, educational workshops, and retail products. All services are subject to availability, equipment capacity, and these terms. We reserve the right to decline projects that exceed our capabilities or conflict with our values.
Quotes & Pricing
All custom fabrication projects require a minimum of $150. Quotes are valid for 30 days from issuance. Final pricing may vary if project scope changes after quoting. A 50% deposit is required before work begins on projects over $500. Rush orders (under 48-hour turnaround) incur a 1.5× surcharge on labor. Material costs are quoted separately and may fluctuate with market pricing.
Membership Terms
Makerspace memberships are billed monthly. Members must complete required safety orientations and equipment certifications before using shop equipment. Memberships may be suspended or terminated for safety violations, non-payment, or breach of these terms. Members are responsible for materials consumed during their sessions. Cancellation requires 30 days written notice.
Liability & Safety
Use of fabrication equipment involves inherent risks. All members and visitors must sign a liability waiver before entering the shop floor. Dynamic Arts Makerspace is not liable for injuries resulting from improper equipment use, failure to follow safety protocols, or negligence. We maintain general liability insurance and require all members to follow posted safety procedures.
Intellectual Property
Clients retain full ownership of their designs and intellectual property. Dynamic Arts Makerspace retains the right to photograph completed projects for portfolio use unless otherwise agreed in writing. We will not reproduce, sell, or share client designs without explicit permission. Any designs created by Dynamic Arts Makerspace as part of a project become the client's property upon full payment.
Cancellations & Refunds
Projects cancelled before work begins receive a full deposit refund. Once fabrication has started, refunds are prorated based on work completed and materials consumed. Completed projects that do not meet agreed specifications will be corrected at no additional charge. Workshop and class registrations may be cancelled up to 48 hours before the scheduled start for a full refund.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms as our business evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
