Dynamic Arts Makerspace Sign

About this project

Custom illuminated wall sign for the Dynamic Arts Makerspace studio. Three layers of laser-cut 1/8" cast acrylic — white base, black text and border elements, orange inner circle and owl mark — assembled onto a CNC-fabricated MDF light box housing. The circular housing was built from stacked 3/4" MDF rings cut on the Shapeoko 5 Pro, lined with aluminum reflective tape, and fitted with COB LED strips on both the inner ring wall and back panel for even backlit illumination through a translucent acrylic diffuser layer. An RF-controlled dimmer allows brightness adjustment. French cleat wall mount with bumper standoffs creates a halo glow effect on the wall behind the sign. 16" diameter, approximately 2" deep. Indoor installation.
